meetings and activities.
❖ Understanding each department’s role of organization
5- Denisse was an eager learning and looked for opportunities to learn more about different
departments and even assisted with projects in other departments when needed.
❖ Learning how to plan and execute a lesson
5- Denisse helped out regularly in NSC’s ESL classes and even took on the challenge of creating
an English practice video when our office’s operations were forced online.
Attitude/Value:
❖ Not afraid to ask questions when uncertain
4- Denisse asked strong clarifying questions when needed to work on a specific task.
❖ Learning to listen more than talking
5- I found Denisse to be an excellent listener with staff and clients. She listened well to
instructions provided, but also listened to build good relationships with staff and clients as well.
Skill:
❖ Learning how to make lesson plans and manage ESL classes
5- Denisse helped out regularly in NSC’s ESL classes and even took on the challenge of creating
an English practice video when our office’s operations were forced online. Denisse also jumped
(seemingly) fearlessly into leading class on her own on the few occasions that teachers called
out. She was both flexible and reliable with this!
❖ Interacting with clients and assessing to their personal needs
4- Denisse played a role in helping with assessing clients needs for ESL classes and connected
them online so that they could participate digitally during our period of remote services.
❖ Finding/booking field trips for clients
4- Unfortunately, Denisse only got to do this for a short time as our office has had to cancel
trips, but in the time that she led trips, she did a great job!
❖ Use of Apricot and Outlook
5- Denisse effectively used our data management systems to accurately and consistently record
data for our ESL classes. She also used Outlook and other communication tools to effectively
communicate where needed.
❖ Practice translating documents/interpreting- 5
5- Denisse helped with interpretation for in person meetings as well as with translating a series
of power points for online learning during stay at home orders. When interpreting in person,
Denisse provided clear interpretation asking appropriate clarifying questions when needed. She
also did a great job translating for our online projects.
