UPLOADING PACKAGES
• Packages are software installation files used to add new, or update existing software
modules.
• All packages can be provided by Jacques as JRP files.
• Packages are designed for either 32-bit or 64-bit systems.
▪ Packages for 32-bit systems are labelled with i686.
▪ Packages for 64-bit systems are labelled with X-86-64.
▪ Check the target system to ensure the correct package is installed.
• Download any packages to be installed to a PC workstation with network access to the
system controller.

In Web Interface
1. Recognise if your system is 32 or
64 bit. The title to the left is

2. Navigate to HOST > PACKAGES

3. From the UPLOAD SECTION


CLICK BROWSE

4. Navigate to and select the JRP file


to upload. CLICK OPEN

5. To view a more detailed


description of the upload process
TICK VERBOSE

6. CLICK UPLOAD JRP

7. A successful upload will result in a


SUCCESS message box. CLICK
REFRESH.

ENSURING PACKAGES ARE RUNNING

1. Navigate to HOST > SERVICES

2. Ensure uploaded package(s) listed under


HOST SERVICE with RUN ON BOOT =
TRUE have a STATUS = RUNNING

Note: NETWORKDIAG and RPCBIND are


stopped under normal operating conditions
and should not be restarted. DHCPD
should also be stopped with run on boot set
to false for static IP systems.

3. For the recently uploaded package, if the


package HOST SERVICE has STATUS =
STOPPED, CLICK the corresponding
RESTART.

Note: Only restart services for packages

UPLOAD FAILURE

1. An unsuccessful upload will display a FAILED message box


2. To return to PACKAGES, CLICK REFRESH.
Confirm the jrp file has the correct naming convention as provided by Jacques.
3. Retry the upload process
4. If you see an error after successfully uploading several packages, try rebooting the server
before uploading any more.
5. If the installation fails again, copy the error message and contact Jacques support.
