This is where you think about your FMP learning journey and development.
Don’t simply describe what you did - consider what you have learnt and how this has benefitted
your project. What do you need to improve?
THIS IS JUST GUIDANCE THAT YOU NEED TO ADAPT TO YOUR OWN PROJECT. YOU HAVE CREATED YOUR
OWN PRODUCTION SCHEDULES AND YOUR WEEKLY BLOGS SHOULD REFELCT THAT.
THESE QUESTIONS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED IN THE WEEKS YOU COMPLETED THEM. DO NOT JUST SUBMIT THIS

EASTER).
PLANNING
What did you learn from your planning This week from my planning I learned how to be more
this week? organised in the way you complete the tasks for the planning
and production section of this unit. The planning taught me
how to be more organised in terms of how I complete my tasks
and it has enabled me to work out how I can make my
documentary work, this is through being realistic in terms of
locations and chosen interviews. . The planning is important in
working out when your cast is available to help be in the
interviews or an actor for the B-roll. I know how I would present
my documentary and in what order I would be presenting it.
Also in in terms of my script for my interview questions, and the
timing for my planning on it how to be more organised an order
of filming because the production schedule helped me form
when it was going to happen and what section and when I
was going to edit.
What issues did you encounter and I didn't face a lot of issues during planning however it was quite
how did you overcome them? difficult working out the production schedule because I had to
do that last as I worked out, I first needed to get email
confirmations through asking them to check if they are
confirming to their availability to the location, time and
interview. But I did it in the end through organising What I was
doing first by putting my tasks in order of how I can complete
them, which in the end I found was much easier. And then I
worked out How I could do the crew list, the cast list, and the
prop list because I knew when everyone was available. I did
not face many issues, but it was quite difficult coming up with a
script my documentary. So I overcame this issue when I
reviewed my research from my website And I found it much
easier because I had already done the work and I just needed
to format it into the correct way you would hear a voice over in
a factual program.
How has your planning My planning has developed during the planning stage
developed/changed during the because as each day goes on, I get more aware of how I want
planning stage? to present my documentary. Or there are small details that can
lead to slightly bigger changes in certain interview scenes or
even b-roll scenes. Therefore, my planning develops through
progression and becomes more detailed, so that when I am
near the deadline my planning changes therefore improves
greatly as it is more detailed and organised. Not only will I be
able to understand how, when and where my documentary
will take place but also my cast and crew will be aware.
therefore, I am making my documentary happen as planning is
important through changing it as days go on. it is also
progressing to the best of my ability and I can reach a higher
standard.
How have you ensured your I have ensured that my script is to a high detailed standard
script/shooting script is of a high because I have used my research to my advantage of making
detailed standard? sure that my script is detailed for my factual program. For my
script I have split it into three sections, the first section are the
same questions I will be using for all the victims I am
interviewing. The second part is the questions I will be asking
the expert of my documentary which is a lawyer. And lastly, the
3rd part is the voice over I will be using for my documentary
over the b-roll that I will be showing. I made sure that my script
was to a high standard because my research was already to a
high standard in detailed and fully analysed showing I
understood what I was researching instead of just writing it
down into my own words this has enabled me to understand
the type of people I will be interviewing and the type of
questions I should be leading towards the direction of how I
want my documentary to come across. For example, it could
seem biased however everyone is entitled to their own
opinions, but I will be leaving my documentary showing how St
harassment is getting worse and change needs to happen
now. However, I also want it to be inspiring therefore my
questions in my script are important. This is because it leads my
content to my younger audience so that they understand.
How well have you managed and I have managed and organised my cast and crew to be
organised your cast and crew to be in available when I need them because I asked them from a very
available when you need them? early date, this is when I first had decided my idea of my
documentary. I also received email confirmations, confirming
the date, time, and location they had agreed on. However, I
have also managed to have backups if they are no longer
available because in the end, I am interviewing 2 main sections
which is the expert the victims. With victims nearly every girl I
know is a victim of street harassment so that was not really an
issue in finding victims. It is important to have backups; in terms
of an expert I have a family member who is one of this topic.
they are also reliable and if not always had a police officer. The
reason how I had organised it was because I prepared it from
an early date and planned out if I needed backups therefore, I
knew I had a reliable cast and crew.
Are you on track for the week? If not, I am on track for this week.
how far behind are you?
What work do you need to complete Nothing because I have completed all the planning for this
outside of lessons to stay on track? unit.
