OBJECTIVES:
•! Research an element which interests you;
•! Gather information from a variety of sources (books, magazines, websites, online databases) and
document this information appropriately;
•! Create a cereal brand that represents your element. Your task is to design the cereal box.
PROCEDURE:
1. Choose an element from the periodic table to research. Be original! You may choose any element but
will have some difficulty finding information on elements with atomic numbers greater than 96.
2. Using the template provided as a guide, collect information on your topic from at least 3 sources. At
least one of these must be something other than a website (for example: a book, encyclopedia, or
magazine). Your notes should be in point form.
3. Using the information you have gathered, design a cereal box that represents your element.

•! Its abundance and location on the planet (how much of it is there and where is it found?)
•! Reference List (refer to citation guideline handout)
