Implications How will data results help deliver the lessons more effectively?
Analyze your data. How Data results will help school counselors understand what students learned
will data inform future from the presentation, and if growth was minimal, then counselors will adjust
practice? presentation information. Further, if results show significant growth,
counselors can build on the information to further students’ understanding of
content delivered. For example, one of the pre/post-survey statements “I
learn best when…” shows a large number of students preferring visuals and
interactive learning. In the future, lessons can incorporate more activities and
visuals to involve the students in learning.
How can Mindsets & Behaviors data be collected more accurately?
To accurately measure M&B data, pre/post-survey should be a mix of
questions that are specific to the content provided as well as broad questions
to capture students’ overall attitudes, skills, and knowledge related to the
topic.

What will be continued/discontinued/amended?

In the future, the presentation slides will be less wordy and include more
visuals to help engage students. Also, finding additional activities to help
students create a study skills plan will be useful for their own reference.
