1) To install SoMac 2.2 on Windows Server 2012, .NET Framework 3.5 must first be installed using the Add Roles and Features Wizard in Server Manager. 2) Once .NET 3.5 is installed, run the SoMac 2.2 setup file and install SQL Server 2005 Express if not already present. 3) The SoMac 2.2 installation will complete and an icon will appear on the desktop. Click the icon to launch SoMac 2.2.

2 software installation
──Windows Server 2012

Somac2.0/ 2.1/ 2.2 versions are compatible with Windows Server 2012. Below description indicate
how to install SoMac 2.2 on Windows Server 2.2 (64Bit version).

Environment: Windows Server 2012 standard x64（English version）

Main installation procedures include:


1、Install .net3.5 framework individually
For Windows Server 2012 has not packed .net2.0 framework on it, thus it is necessary to
install .net3.5 which has integrated .net2.0.
2、Running SoMac 2.2 setup file

Notice:
When installation .net3.5 framework, Windows Server 2012 will be automatically detected
suitable .net3.5 setup file from the Microsoft web site. Hence, system operator needs to assure
computer is well connecting with Internet.

Starting step by step:


Step 1 : Install .net3.5
When computer has installed .net3.5，then skip step 1.
(There are many ways to install .net3.5 framework) :

1、Running“Server Manager”as picture:

Tap“Add roles and features” to call“Add Roles and Features Wizard”dialogue, as picture:

Tap“Next”to continue

Tap“.NET Framework 3.5 Features”from the features list as shown. Then tap“Next”to
continue.

Tap“Install”to continue

.net3.5 installation is now ongoing , wait…

Installation completed. Tap“Close”to finish the installation and close the dialogue box.

2、.net3.5 framework installation finished.

Step 2: Install Somac 2.2 software
Double tapping Somac 2.2 setup file as shown:

Tap“Next”to continue.

Tap“Next”to continue.

For SoMac 2.2, it needs no manually change the installation setup files directory.
(SoMac 2.2 won′t be directed to “Program file directory).
For SoMac2.0 or SoMac 2.1 version, it needs to select“Custom”setup then manually change
the setup file to the directory.
When system has already installed with SQL 2005 Express，then select“Custom”to call off the
SQL database installation.

Tap“Install”to continue

When SQL 2005 Express installation is ongoing, system will prompt an installation message
“Program Compatibility Assistant on the screen if SQL 2005 express has not yet installed..
Make sure install or cancel the installation.

Tap “Run the program without getting help to install SQL 2005 Express.
Notice: the same dialogue message will appear several times when SQL 2005 express is installing.
Select the same option.

Prompt the SQL 2005 Express installation dialogue as shown:

Tap“Next”until the“Setup Progress”dialogue has appeared as shown:

Tap“Finish”to finish installation of SQL 2005 Express.


Next step, return to SoMac installation , tap“Finish”to complete the SoMac 2.2 installation.

Installation for SoMac 2.2 on Windows Server 2012 is success when SoMac 2.2 software icon
appeared to Windows Server 2012 desktop. Double click the icon to run SoMac 2.2.
