    Our home is secured because…

    Telit devices can recognize the presence of a disturbing


    device such a Jammer, if the following two basic
    conditions are verified:

    ‰ Presence on the module’s receiver of a DISTURBING


    SIGNAL in the GSM, DCS, PCS bands

    ‰ LOSS of any comunication between the module,


    the registered cell and the adjacent cells.

    How to send the Jamming report over the air:

    In normal conditions (not jammed), to establish a


    communication between a base station and a GSM/GPRS
    device, two different RF channels are used:

    ‰ Traffich Channel (TCH)

    ‰ Control Channel (a kind of BCH Broadcast Channel,


    CCCH Common Control Channel and other.

    There is a bi-directional communication between the BS


    and MS on the Control channel.

    When the Telit module is jammed, there is not anymore


    bi-directional communication between the BS and MS.
    The only possibility to communicate with the network
    is to use the Random Access Channel (RACH).

    The RACH is the only control channel that doesn’t need


    the syncronization signal from the BS.

    How it works:

    To send the Jamming report over the air, Telit module


    Modulates some specific bits on the RACH
    (not used for other purpose) and sends this signal to the
    network.

    As soon as the BS detects the SOS signal from the module,


    this alarm is forwarded by the Network Provider
    to the owner of the alarm or to the Security Service Centre.

    Telit is working with some Network Provider in order to allow them to


    trace the SOS signal sent by the module.

    Reports the current settings of the command, in the format:

    #JDR: <mode>,<MNPL>,<DCMN>

    This command allows to control the Jammed


    Detect & Report feature.

    It gives indication to the user of this condition either on the


    serial line with an unsolicited code or on a dedicated GPIO
    by rising it.

    0 – Jammer Detect & Report DISABLED (Default)

    1 – JDR is active and the jamming condition is reported


    on GPIO 2

    2 – JDR is active and the jamming condition is reported


    with a single unsolicited code on serial line
