different types of electrical circuit.

B. APPLICATION (LECTURE/DISCUSSION)
The teacher will discuss the following

Electric circuit
- Any arrangement of materials that allows electricity to flow or the complete
(continous)flow of current is possible through the conductor (path) from the
source to the load and back the source.

Elements of Electric Circuit

1. SOURCE – provides electrical power to the circuit. Ex. Cell/battery, and


generator
2. LOAD – power consuming device usually an appliances, lights or equipment.
3. CONTROL/SWITCH – a controlling device used to turn the current ON and
OFF.
4. PATH – a conductor that provides a passages of electric current from the
source to the load.

TYPES OF CIRCUIT/CONNECTION

1. SERIES CIRCUIT – two or more loads are connected end to end along the
path of current in a single closed. Thus, there is only one current path in the
whole circuit.
Ex. Christmas lights
2. PARALLEL CIRCUIT – two or more loads are connected side by side
across the path of current. The current flowing in each branch is dependent
from each other. Therefore, each branch has only its own current flowing.
