I.Objectives: LO1. Identify and Select Materials and Tools TLE - IAAW7/8UT-0a-1

The lesson plan has four main sections: I) Objectives which are to classify tools/equipment, identify their uses, and safety procedures. II) Teaching materials including powerpoint and real objects. III) Procedures including safety discussion and identifying tools. IV) Application with a lecture on electrical circuits, their elements, and types (series and parallel). Students will do activities in groups to apply the concepts and a short test assessment.

Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity

Good Morning class Good morning sir!

(the teacher will discuss the following

PPE that he wear.)

Class I have here a different tools and The student will go in front and they will
materials in front of you can you identify show to their classmate the tools and
what are this tools? materials that they know.

Did you enjoy our activity class? Yes sir!

Our topic for today is all about the
different types of electrical circuit.

B. APPLICATION (LECTURE/DISCUSSION)
The teacher will discuss the following

Electric circuit
- Any arrangement of materials that allows electricity to flow or the complete
(continous)flow of current is possible through the conductor (path) from the
source to the load and back the source.

Elements of Electric Circuit

1. SOURCE – provides electrical power to the circuit. Ex. Cell/battery, and

generator
2. LOAD – power consuming device usually an appliances, lights or equipment.
3. CONTROL/SWITCH – a controlling device used to turn the current ON and
OFF.
4. PATH – a conductor that provides a passages of electric current from the
source to the load.

TYPES OF CIRCUIT/CONNECTION

1. SERIES CIRCUIT – two or more loads are connected end to end along the
path of current in a single closed. Thus, there is only one current path in the
whole circuit.
Ex. Christmas lights
2. PARALLEL CIRCUIT – two or more loads are connected side by side
across the path of current. The current flowing in each branch is dependent
from each other. Therefore, each branch has only its own current flowing.

C. APPLICATION

Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity

Did you understand the lesson? Yes sir!

Is there any question? are you sure? No sir!

If there’s none. I will group you into 2 The student will go to their respective
groups. The 1st group will be assembling groups.
the series circuit and the 2nd group will
assemble the parallel circuit.

This activity should be finished within 10 The student will do their activity together
minutes the first group to finished first with their group and they will present
and can connect correctly will declare as their work in front of their classmates.
