Assignment 1

You are required to complete the tasks mentioned below for a software system / software
product of your choice. You should consult the lecture slides and Appendix C of Requirements
Engineering book by Karl Wiegers for doing the assignment work.

Tasks
1- Write the Business opportunity for the software system
2- Write Business Objectives with success metrics for the software system
3- Draw Business Objective Model for the software system
4- Write Vision Statement for the software system
5- Draw a Goal Model for the software system by applying proper notations. (an example of
Goal Model is available in 3.2 Requirements Elicitation P2 slides (slide # 12, Goal model for
fulfilling book order)

Instructions
 The deadline for submitting assignment is Wednesday, March 4, 2020.
 You must form a group of two students to work on the assignments. You cannot change
the group members for next assignments in the course.
 Plagiarised/ copied assignment will result in zero marks. Therefore, don’t share your
assignment work with other class fellows.
