Opm Variety Show: Grade 10 3rd Quarter I!egr"ed Performance Task
MECHANICS
1. All classes present a Variety Show similar to the show formats of the noon time shows in
television (Showtime, ASAP, Eat Bulaga, Sunday Pinasaya, etc…) OPM as their theme.
2. The Variety shows must feature ONLY Original Pilipino Music (OPM) in their variety
shows. Foreign artists are not to be featured in the OPM Variety show.
3. OPM MUSIC CONTENT. The OPM hits that will be used in the variety show will from
the 1970’s to 2000’s only. Any song/hits from 2001-present is NOT ALLOWED. The
Pagsasalin-Awit songs are the only songs which will be used with years covering 2010-
present.
4. OPM Music must be “creatively” utilised in side the variety show in any educational/
performance way possible.
5. The OPM Variety Show must contain different show segments. A MUSIC
PERFORMANCE SEGMENT is a REQUIRED segment to all OPM Variety shows to be
presented.
6. Here are some “suggested” segments to be featured inside the variety show:
• Game segment
• Commercials (optional)
• Plug-ins
• etc.
7. SEGMENTS. The segments suggested can be used BUT can be edited, add more
segments or the group can even create their own segment as long as it will be inside the
performance timeframe of 30 minutes. IT IS RECOMMENDED AND ENCOURAGED that
groups think outside of the box to think of how the segments will be creative.
8. For some segments that will have Music performances, it is preferred that live
instruments are to be used. Canned music (minus-one, recorded instrumental) can be
used in special cases only.
10. INTEGRATION. The OPM Variety show will be integrated with Filipino & Art subjects
with the following performance requirements:
• ART: Media Production that will be the backbone of the OPM Variety show
production flow, setup and sequencing of segments.
