I am pleased to apply for admission in Australian Catholic University, and I’m
currently submitting this application for your consideration.

My name is Ibobo Kennedy Wilson Akpanke I am a Nigerian, I was born and raised
in Lagos the most populous state in African where I grew up to learn that There
noting you can’t achieve if you are focused. During my high school time I
discovered a personal truth that I have no limitation other than those I choose to
impose upon myself. My drive of knowing more about computer attracted me
into choosing information technology as my field of study; I have always been
intrigued by how technology is being evolved every single day.
Am currently a member of the board of trustee at Peoples Dream Initiative, an
independent non-profit initiative organization (NGO), which I am the chief
communication Officer our aim an objective is to seek to ascertain the hopes and
desire of the people by creating sustainable strategies that will bring about an
indelible solution in achieving these common goals, dream and aspiration
liberation of humanity from moral decadence and intellectual degeneration. I
am also currently running a café; I have always been a confident user of the
computer system. And with my numerous knowledge in Microsoft office Suite
expert and Microsoft operating system, and having been able to understand the
problems of data security which I have learnt during my two year in running the
café. I also find the time in using my computer for scientific research and I am also
highly skilled ICT. I also devote my time to photography, I use my camera to take
photos of my environment carefully studying the people around me, I have realize
that your photography will always be different from everyone else’s even though
you use the same gear trying to snap the same picture, Because photography taps
into your heart. No matter how you look at it, psychology is one of the most
intrical parts of photography.
The Australian education system has emerged as one of the best in the world,
with an undeniable holds in various fields, there are many top ranked universities
all over the country and the educational system can be beneficial to student
wanting to study in Australia and I will be very happy to be part of the ever
growing educational system, Australia is blessed with great natural beauty which
I can’t wait to experience with the many different cuisines, music and leisure
activities the cities offers. There a saying that Australians are some of the
friendliest people in the world and I would like to part of this community, studying
Australian catholic university provides plenty of opportunity for life changing
professions.

I come from a family of four with two brothers and a sister, my elder brother
which just recently got his degree as an aeronautic engineer in Shenyang
aerospace university Liaoning china; he also just finished his National Youth
Service Crop (NYSC) serving his country to his best of his ability, and I also hope
that one day I will do the same. And also my immediate elder brother who is
about to complete his study as a civil engineer here in Nigeria , I look up to both
of them , having learnt a lot from them, while my junior sister is about rounding
up her high school.

I am thankful for the challenges and the adversities which have crossed my path
because they have strengthened my character and brought fourth certain virtues I
might otherwise never had known. In gaining a richer and deeper understanding
ICT, I would like to further my education by obtaining my degree and also applying
for a master’s degree so I will be able to tackle the exiting economical challenges
which my country is suffering from, I have always imagined a better future for my
country, but with a better educational accomplishment I would be able to bring
about solutions in ending our economic crisis, imagination has always been a big
part of my life but now it’s time to construct that image in my mind to become a
physical ideology so I could be a value to myself and the people around me.
One of the greatest challenge I faced growing up is living in a multi ethnic
communities, with the three hundred and eight seven tribes living in Lagos, even
though the society in which I live insist on categorizing me into one racial
category. I consider myself to be multi ethnic. My mother’s ethnic makeup is
(obudu cross river) while my father’s ethnic make-up is (utugwang cross river),
even thou they come from the same state they have different ethnic and cultural
values with both my parent having different dialect. Some of the conflicts that I
dealt with while growing up concerning issue like physical appearance, self-
esteem and question like where do I fit in? and to whom do I belong ?
Fortunately, I have since learned that being part of more than one ethnic group is
an advantage, not a detriment, and I am proud to claim and take part in my
diverse heritage. Everyone and everything in my past has been a teacher, and I
feel that my history has inevitably led me to what I am now today.
