1. Angular frequency of a system executing SHM is given by ω=2πf where f is the frequency of oscillations. The differential equation of SHM is x'' + ω2x = 0 where ω is the angular frequency. 2. Time period of SHM is given by T=1/f=2π/ω. Frequency is the number of complete oscillations per unit time while angular frequency is the rate of change of phase in radians per unit time. 3. Acceleration of a particle executing SHM is given by x''= -ω2x. This shows that acceleration is proportional to displacement but in opposite direction.
