    Please click on this link to get a PDF file. To complete your file, you must send a paper version of your online registration
    duly signed together with the documents requested below to the SEVE, except for re-enrollments of PhD-students.

    Documents to enclose with your enrolment file :

    - 1 identity photograph

    - 2 copies of the identity card for European candidates

    - 2 copies of your detailled CV

    - 2 copies of Master's degree diploma or equivalent if your diploma is delivered by an European institution

    OR

    2 copies if your diploma is delivered by a non European Institution

    IF your diploma or diploma supplement is written in another language than French, German or English, please add 2
    copies of the translated version of your diploma.

    Please ask your professor to send directly to the Office of Doctoral Studies the Acceptance Application for a doctoral
    student

    If your are non-European candidate, please add the following


    documents which will be used to apply for the authorisation of
    stay in Luxembourg:
    Beware: If the documents are not written in German, French or English, a translation by a sworn translator must be
    attached in one of these languages.

    - 1 bound copy of all the pages of the passport (including the blank pages)

    - 1 recent original certificate of non-criminal conviction in the country where you live

    - a health insurance certificate covering illness in Luxembourg (Shengen Travel Insurance):

    cover potential expenses during your journey and until the start of your studies in Luxembourg, your starting date being

    For candidates who do not live in their country of origin, please add:

    - 1 copy of your valid residence permit

    Please directly contact the Office of Doctoral Studies if you are in one of the following cases:

    - you are non-European candidate living in Northern, Central or South America

    - you plan to come to Luxembourg with your family

    - you are self financed

    If you live in Luxembourg, your residence permit will have to be modified, thus we invite you to prepare:

    - 1 certified true copy of all the pages of the passport (even the blank pages)

    - 1 recent certificate of non-criminal conviction established in Luxembourg

    Registration in the Luxembourgish register of titles


    If your master diploma has been delivered by a non European Institution, you will have to request after your arrival its
    registration in the Luxembourgish register of titles with the Ministry of Higher Education.

    Therefore please remember to have a spare copy of your diploma and its translation for your arrival in Luxembourg.

    This registration can only be requested once you have received your residence permit for Luxembourg.

    New Law of the University (August 9, 2018)

    Affiliation to health insurance


    For your enrollment as self-funded, you must imperatively send us:

    1 recent proof of your affiliation to a medical cover indicating precisely the period of coverage. It must cover the
    duration of the semester for which you are registered at the University.

    If you do not have such insurance, you will be asked to pay the fees together with the registration fees directly to the
    University.

    It is the responsibility of each student to declare any change in their personal situation during their studies. Any
    change must be reported in writing to the BED- Office of doctoral studies (change of address, end of contract,
    drop-out, etc) without delay. In case you have a work contract, your social security affiliation is linked to your
    contract. Should your work contract end during the semester it is your responsibility to inform the BED.

    The paper version of the application for pre-registration as well as all the documents requested must be sent to

    Once received, your application will be examined as soon as possible by the University and a decision on admission will be
    taken.
