Logical Topology

Cable

Cable used in my net network is CAT5e as it is most effective within a small company or
building.

It is used in Ethernet-based LANs, CAT5e contains four twisted pairs. It supports 1 Gbps for 100
meters.

Cisco Server
The Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) is a Data Center Server Computer product line
composed of Computing Hardware, virtualization support, switching fabric, and management
Software introduced in 2009 by Cisco System. The products are marketed for scalability by
integrating the components of a Data Center that can be managed as a single unit. The computing
component of the UCS is available in two versions: the B-series (a powered chassis and full
and/or half slot blade servers), and the C-series for 19-inch racks (that can be used with fabric
interconnects).

Cisco router

Cisco router it connects minimum of two network and identified the network devices with the
help of their ip address. The device is used to connect a local network with other local networks.

Cisco switch
Cisco switches are used to create a network by connecting and controlling all of your
organization’s computers, printers, and servers. Cisco switches increase efficiency, productivity,
and save you money by allowing your devices to talk to one another through information sharing
and resource allocation.

Operating System

Linux is used as the server operating system in the network. Linux is the best-known and most-
used open source operating system. As an operating system, Linux is software that sits
underneath all of the other software on a computer, receiving requests from those programs and
relaying these requests to the computer's hardware.

Application
Wireshark is a very popular packet analyzer. It is used for network troubleshooting, analysis and
protocol development. Wireshark is a great tool for capturing traffic on a single interface or
system but it is not designed to handle large volumes of traffic. If you need to troubleshoot a
single application or system then this is a great choice.
