Senior Analyst – Global Strategy

We are looking for highly motivated individual with strong analytic skills and an eye for
detail to be part of the Global Strategy team in India. The role provides an opportunity to
work on projects that involve research and analysis of economies, sectors, markets, and
competitors across geographies.

Work you’ll do

The team in India supports the Global Strategy team in projects/programs relating to
Competitive Intelligence (CI), Global sector strategies (GSS) and Strategy Development
(SD). The team provides research-based information and analysis on competitors’
performance and strategies, industry and sector analysis, and economic analysis with focus
on demand for professional services, regulatory environment assessments, and assessment
of Deloitte’s own performance and strategies.

This role is aligned to the Competitive Intelligence (CI) projects/programs. As a member of


this team, the senior analyst would conduct secondary research on Deloitte’s competitors;
conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis; assist in preparation of reports for senior
leaders; and manage a repository of data/documents. The role requires the incumbent to
analyse trends in the marketplace that impact demand for professional services, and as a
result, Deloitte's businesses. Your other responsibilities will include:
 Understand, manage, and independently deliver on clients' research and analysis
requirements
 Apply established tools and methodologies to support business decision-making
 Prepare periodic reports for the Executive/Board
 Collaborate with team members on projects
 Gather information using internal and external research resources such as industry
journals, analyst reports, and information databases
 Make reasonable assumptions to address gaps in data and understand potential
limitations of the output
 Liaison with onshore colleagues to understand key business issues and incorporate
them in research deliverables

The team

The Deloitte Global Strategy team is responsible for informing our strategies, developing
corporate and global business unit strategies, and helping to monitor strategy execution
globally and across key businesses and geographies. The Global Strategy team uses
rigorous fact-based, quantitative analysis to identify and prioritize strategic business issues
for Deloitte, and works both top-down and bottoms-up across key business units and
geographic regions to chart the strategic direction of the global network, global businesses,

Qualifications

 MBA or Master’s Degree like MBE/Economics from a reputed school


 Four or more years of work experience, including at least three in research/writing
role
 Strong MS Office skills (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
 Good understanding of business issues
 Knows a wide variety of data sources to direct others to quickly and reliably find the
best data/research
 Excellent writing skills and ability to present complex ideas succinctly for senior
executives
 Excellent verbal communication skills in English
 Attention to detail
 Self-motivated and a good team player, preferably with experience working in virtual
teams

Analyst – Global Strategy
