2 Guidelines Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
Those who experienced any respiratory symptoms are encouraged to stay home or proceed
to any medical facility for check up:
1. Colds
2. Frequent sneezing
3. Fever ( above 37 degree Celsius)
4. Cough
Those who report to work with such symptoms must immediately be sent home
Those who are sick, if not willing to proceed to a medical facility must remain at home and practice respiratory
etiquette and hand hygiene but ensure to visit medical facility if symptoms persist for more than 2 days.
Refer to the guidelines below for details on Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
1. Make it a habit to wash your hands always
2. Make sure you always cover mouth and nose when you sneeze or cough
3. Those who would likely to spit or blow their nose due to the symptoms must do it away from anyone in the
toilet or on a tissue and make sure to dispose of it properly.
4. When in public, maintain at least 3 meters further from people you suspect with the respiratory symptoms
5. Avoid, handshakes, kiss greetings (biso-biso), and other intimate greetings to acquaintances and loved ones
you meet in public or upon your arrival at home. Practice cleaning hygiene first when you get home before
any other forms of contact with loved ones. If respiratory symptoms are positive, avoid any
contact at 3 meters distance and isolate yourself from the rest of the family at home.
6. Avoid going to public places like Malls, fast-food, bars, terminals, market etc. If there is a need to
proceed to any of these areas, ensure to protect yourself with mask (made of cloth or
disposable) and must follow proper donning of the mask - perfectly covering the nose and
mouth. Children below 3 years old are mouth breathers and must NOT be allowed to wear mask
to cover their respiratory airways (Hence, do not bring them to public places).
7. Minimize direct hand contact to any public places with handles, hand bars, or hand railings or any touch
facility.
8. When subjected to have your Temperature check in public places, ensure the tip of the thermometer DOES
NOT touch your skin as these are infrared devices and need not direct contact to get a reading.
9. Rubbing alcohol (at 70%) are considered disinfectants but hand washing habits are as effective as much.
10. When dining at fast-food and restaurants, avoid using metal utensils and request for plastic utensils instead
ensuring how it was handed to you (with a tissue and not directly hand over by bare hand). If permissible,
ask for a hot water to sterilize the metal utensils.
11. When dining, avoid eating raw food to avoid hand-to-food-to-mouth contaminations. If you
prepared the food personally, ensure to work with clean hands and wash fresh produce and
meat properly with clean water.
12. Those with young children below 8 years old must avoid bringing them with you in crowded
places as mentioned in #5. Do not bring children in hospitals when visiting sick relatives or
friends.
13. Most cases of deaths and infected people are within the age bracket of 30 - 70 age. The
virus may infect anyone without showing any symptoms (asymptomatic). Only when the body resistance is
down due to stress or exposure to any strenuous activity such as frequent drinking of alcoholic beverages,
those who frequently lack sleep, etc; only then that symptoms may start to show.
14. To boost immune system, remember to keep body healthy at all times by eating vitamin (esp. C) enriched
food, increase fluid intake (juice or water) with a regular exercise and proper sleep.
Inform your Team Lead or HR when you think you are experiencing any of the
symptoms.
When you think symptoms are getting worse, proceed to a medical facility for further
health evaluation.
