2.2 LL.M. Program
The University offers LL.M. Courses in the following three streams:
1. LL.M. in the area of: (a) Business Law (b) Environmental Law (c) Constitution & Administrative
Law (d) Criminal Law. The courses in the above mentioned specializations will be offered
according to the availability of the faculty and the number of seats in each of the above areas will
be determined by the University at the time of admission.
2. LL.M. in Human Rights
3. LL.M. in Law, Science & Technology
2.2.1 Eligibility for Admission
The candidate should have secured an LL.B. degree or its equivalent from a recognized University, having
obtained not less than 55% marks in the aggregate (50% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC).
2.2.2 Intake and Reservation

*Seats are reserved for candidates who have five years of working experience in Human Rights
Organization and are sponsored by their parent organization.
2.2.2.1 M.P. Domicile Requirements:
No candidates shall be selected for admission against the M.P. quota seats unless:
1. He/She is a citizen of India and
a. (a) He/She has been educated in an educational institution located in M.P. for at leaset
three consecutive Years during the five year immediately preceding the years in which
admission is sought.
(b) He/She is a bonafide resident of M.P. as per Explanation – I given below.

OR
(c) He/She is son or daughter of
i An employee or a pensioner of the Government of Madhya Pradesh or an
employee of the Govt. Of M.P. who died while in service of this State or an
office of the All India Services from M.P. Cadre.

OR

ii. A central Govt. employee including employee of Defense Establishment,


employee of Post & Telegraph Dept. and the Railways or an employee of public
sector undertaking posted and stationed in Madhya Pradesh on or before January
1, 1999 and continues to be so posted till the date of admission.

OR
iii. A person in Madhya Pradesh under any scheme of resettlement sanctioned by
the Government of India or the State.
Explanation 1:

1. a. He /She was born in Madhya Pradesh


OR
b. The Candidate himself /herself, or his/her father or mother (if father is not alive
or if both his /her father and mother are not alive, his/her legal guardian has been
resident of Madhya Pradesh for a continuous period of not less then 15 years.
OR
2. The candidates himself/herself or his/her father or mother (if father is not alive or if both his/her
father and mother are not alive his/her legal guardian has been carrying on any trade or business or
has held any immovable property in the state of M.P. for a period of not les than 5 years preceding
the year of test.
OR
2. a. He/ She has pursued his/her studies in any recognized educational institution of
Madhya Pradesh for a period of not les then 3 years, but education below
standard Class I (i.e. K.G. etc.) will not be considered.
OR
b. He/She passed an examination either or VIII standard or X/XII class from any
recognized educational Institutional in Madhya Pradesh.
Explanation 2: Guardian : Guardian in relation to a candidate means any person who in the
opinion of the District Magistrate concerned has after the death of the father and mother of the
candidate been an actual charge of or control over the candidate for his/her property or both at the
time of application since the death of his/her father and mother. The certificate of guardianship
from the appropriate court shall have to be produced as an evidence of guardianship. If the father
of a candidate is dead but the mother is alive, she shall be deemed to be natural guardian of the
candidates and no other person shall be recognized as guardian. Son or daughter shall include step
son or step daughter.

2.2.3 Fee Structure:


The following fees shall be charged in a year:

5. Repeat Examination 500/- per paper

8. Computer Lab Fee 5,000/-
9. Other Academic Activities 2,500/-
10. Sports Fee 2,500/-
11. Caution Money (Refundable)one time 3,500/-
12. Miscellaneous Fees (Payable in the fourth Semester)
i. Convocation Fee-in person 1,000/-
ii. In absentia 2,000/-
iii. Transcript Fee 500/-
iv. Provisional Certificate Fee 500/-
v. Migration Certificate Fee 500/-
vi. Duplicate Certificate Fee 500/-
Total: 77,000/-
Note:
1. Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances. The University has the power
to revise the fee structure from time to time.
