INTRODUCTION:
Our country is rich in highly productive marine habitats and coastal waters. However, for many years
now, these resources are being destroyed by natural causes and human interventions. One human
cause is dynamite fishing. Learn about the effects of dynamite fishing in this informative kind of
workshop.
RULES/INSTRUCTIONS:
You shall decide your corresponding roles in this activity. Five members of the group will act as
throwers of white ping pong balls. The rest of the group will retrieve the balls thrown.
The throwers shall position themselves 5 meters from the hula hoop. There will be a marker of this
distance set by the facilitators.
Once an orange ping pong ball bounces out of the hula hoop, the retrievers have to identify the effects of
dynamite fishing from the pictures that will be shown. (1 ping pong ball = 1 set of pictures) Total balls:
7 ping pong balls. TIME: 7 MINUTES
POINTING SYSTEM:
5 points – hitting the white ping pong balls.
10 points – correctly identifying the effect of dynamite fishing.

RULES/INSTRUCTION:
Choose two members who will hold the ends of the jumping rope. Then choose 3 members who will
jump.
The jumpers will read or relay the questions to the holders who will answer the question.
There will be two sets of questions, 5 questions per set. You can change the jumpers and holders if you
want. But the time still continue when you change person – jumpers or holders.
You can read and questions and rephrase it. TIME: 15 MINUTES
POINTING SYSTEM:
10 points for every correct answer.
A deduction of 2 points for every unanswered question and wrong answer.
(3) ION TAYO EH
INTRODUCTION:
Salinity is the measure of all the salts dissolved in water. When the concentration of these salts exceeds
1ppm, they are called major ions. Learn about these major ions in this informative and exciting

RULES/INSTRUCTIONS:
You shall fan all the paper fishes until they reach the end of the 3-meter distance.
After all the paper fishes reach the end, you have to arrange the ions in the descending order according
to their concentration in the seawater. TIME: 15 MINUTES

5 points for every fish successfully transported.
5 points for every correct placement of the major ion.

Each of them will be given one cookie.
Each one of them will have to answer a question about plate boundaries by demonstrating it using a
cookie.
Once a player got the correct answer, he/she must eat the cookie by moving it from his/her forehead to
mouth. TIME: 15 MINUTES

INTRODUCTION:
Carbon Dioxide is a kind of compound or gas that is colorless, odorless and incombustible. It is form
during animal respiration and decay of animal and vegetable matter. It is absorbed from the air by plants

RULES/INSTRUCTION:
Choose 5 members from your group.
Inflate the balloon inside the cups.
Transfer the cups into the other table. 25 cups
Stack the cups without using your hands. TIME: 3 MINUTES

4 points for every cup successfully stacked.
Philippine Society of Youth Science Clubs in a Non-Government Organization based on Quezon City. It
constitutes to promote the Public understanding of Science Technology and Environment (PUSTE) through
its several activities and events. One of the major events that the organization holds annually is the National

Stick the ping pong balls on each sponge by first bouncing the ball on the floor.
One sponge corresponds to a question that will be read by the facilitators.
You can only continue if you answer the given question correctly or if you pass. TIME: 5 MINUTES

(7) INANG HOLEN SLAYDANGAL
INTRODUCTION:
The ratio of an object’s mass to its own volume is the density of an object. Density is a basic physical
property of a homogeneous substance. It is an intensive property, which means it depends only on the
substance’s composition and not with size or amount. It is use to differentiate substances and explain why
objects float or sink. Learn about density in this informative and interesting workshop.
RULES/INSTRUCTION:
5 players must shoot the marbles into the small bowl floating in the water by first bouncing them into
the flat surface and into the bowl.
Substitution is allowed. The other members will retrieve the marbles (outside the basin) back to the
chosen players.
The time will stop if you are able to make the bowl sink.
Only the FACILITATORS are allowed to retrieve the marbles inside the basin.
POINTING SYSTEM:
100 = 0 to 3 minutes, 75 = 3:01 – 4 minutes, 50 = 4:01 above minutes

Choose 5 members from your group. Substitution is allowed but the time still continue.
There will be five cups.
The next player can only continue after the previous player successfully transfer the ball. TIME: 7
MINUTES
POINTING SYSTEM:
2o points will be given to every successful transfer of ping pong ball from one cup to another.
(9) CHANGE IS COMING
INTRODUCTION:
The term climate change refers to the change of weather pattern statistical distribution that last for decades
or even millions of years. The causes of climate change ranges from natural phenomena to human activities.

RULES/INSTRUCTION:
Your goal is to successfully reach the end of the puzzle. However, you are only allowed to step on
certain blocks.
You need to choose 5 members.
The 1 of the 5 members can only step after one player successfully reach the end.
If you stepped on the wrong block, you have to go back to starting point.
After all of you successfully reached the end of the puzzle, an ultimate question worth 20 points will be
asked.
POINTING SYSTEM:
20 points for every check point successfully reached.
The earth is full of beauty. However, we cannot deny the threats surrounding our home. In this workshop,
you can help raise awareness on the current state of mother nature through insights and creativity.
RULES/INSTRUCTION:
You shall come up with a poster related to this station’s concept. A message from the earth.
Everyone is allowed to draw and participate in making the poster.
You are only allowed to use coloring and art materials provided by the facilitators.
No points will be given once they use a material other than what were provided.
