WHAT IS LOVE?

What is Love? This is one of the questions still being asked today. In our present society,
various answers would be upheld by each person. There are people who would say love hurts.
Some people would disagree that love hurts because first, it is not a definition but rather an
opinion and second, love gives them happiness. There are so many answers just for a simple
question. What is Love?
Like geometry, love cannot be defined. It can be describe in many ways. First, love is
everywhere. Love is found everywhere. We can see love in our home. Our family is love. How?
They give us protection and food that suffice our needs in life. They do these things because
they love us. Second, love is timeless. When you are in love, you would feel like the world
stopped as if there is no time. You may imply that love is eternal and forever. Third, love is
limitless. Anyone can love. It is a free act. Nobody can deprive of loving anyone. Love is free of
gender. Loving can include people who are heterosexuals, LGBT, mentally-ill people, prisoners,
and etc. Fourth, love is louder. There are people who has secret feelings for each other. It is
because of love that they were able to show it. It is a loud act that possess true honesty and
dignity to the feelings towards each other. Fifth, love is happiness. We feel love for each other at
the same time they are happy. There are couples who express love but is not happy about the
scenario. Happiness is part of love. Hence, love cannot exist without happiness. Sixth, love is
sacrifice. It is a very big act of resisting the other things or ones for the sake of your love to
another. There are couples that leaves their parents for them to show their love to each other. It
implies negative acts that should not be tolerated but should be taken with genuity, honesty, and
sincerity. Seventh, love hurts. There will come a time that people will hurt you because they love
you. It is an act that most can misunderstood. A valid reason should suffice one another to
prevent hurting each other.
There are many descriptions of love. An unending descriptions with unending words
might not even finish this essay. Love, first and foremost, is a feeling of peace, happiness, and
truthfulness to anyone or anything. It should consists of commitment and perpetual.
Commitment, a promise or vow both couples should undergo as they love each other. Perpetual,
an everlasting time. Love is a very powerful gift from God because it opens other feelings and
attitudes like faithfulness, honesty, kindness, perseverance, and etc. All people was created out
of an act of pure love. All of us are meant to love. Our mission in this earthly life is to love God
and neighbor.
