Session 10 Day 1 Review

The document summarizes a VERICUT simulation session review exercise. It lists 8 steps to apply concepts from previous training, including opening a project file, simulating a toolpath to detect errors, adjusting the tool length, checking for collisions, measuring wall thickness, and comparing models. It asks multiple choice questions after several of the steps to check understanding. The conclusion congratulates the reader for surviving the first day.

How many errors are detected?
A. 2
B. 110
C. 293
D. 88
E. No error, I just like the color red…
3. Set VERICUT to stop the simulation at line 223
What caused the error?
A. Tool too short, the holder rubs
B. This tool cannot ramp into the part, causing a shank collision
C. 42
D. Collision with the fixture
E. The machine operator fell asleep

4. Calculate the Minimum Cutter Extension

How much longer does Tool #8 needs to be?
A. About .125
B. About .500
C. 42
D. About .875
E. The tool fell off the holder and I can’t find it!

C. 42
D. X Axis table
E. The machine operator!

6. Measure the wall thickness

What is the thickness of the vertical walls?
A. 0.043
B. 0.071
C. 42
D. .002
E. Well, about 1/8th?! …I think!

7. Compare the Cut Stock with the Design model to detect

gouges larger than 0.002 inch
How many errors in the AUTO-DIFF report?
A. 1
B. 3
C. 42
D. 9
E. Where is the report?!
