LESSON PLAN IN SCIENCE 10

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to perform the following with
at least 85% proficiency:
a. Identify the limiting factors that depend on population density

II. SUBJECT MATTER


A. Topic: Limiting Factors on Population Density
B. References:
 Science 10 Learner’s Material
 Science 10 Teacher’s Guide and Science 10 Curriculum Guide
C. Materials:
 Manila paper, graphs
D. Values Infused:
 Alertness, Intellectual Honesty, creativity

III. PROCEDURE
A. Motivation
Jumbled words will be given to students, they will arrange it. (Group activity)
After arranging, they will attach the arranged word to the picture where it belong.

B. Development
1. Show a diagram of limiting factors that depend on population density to students.
Then, discuss the factors one by one.
 Diseases and parasites
 Competition for resources
 Predation
 Emigration
2. Ask volunteers to give examples of each factor evident in the community.

C. Generalization
What are the limiting factors that depend on population density?

D. Application
The teacher will give situations and the students will identify what limiting factor
do they belong.
IV. EVALUATION
