3.2.27.14.8 Switch and Jumper
Switches and jumpers that can be set on the SCC board include battery jumpers and BIOS
switches or jumpers.
The battery on the SCC helps to ensure that the configuration is kept upon a power failure of the
SCC. If the board is in use, place a jumper cap over the battery jumper to make a short circuit,
which allows the battery to supply power normally.
The BIOS jumper or switch helps clear the system parameter area and database in the flash
memory on the SCC board. Table 1 shows the function of the BIOS jumper or switch.
