    Newton's three laws of motion are: 1) An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an external force. 2) The acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object. 3) For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

    NEWTON’S LAWS OF MOTION

    1st Law:
    An object will remain at rest or in uniform
    motion in a straight line unless acted upon by
    an external force.
    Example: If a stationary football is on the
    ground, it’ll not start moving without an
    external force. We need to provide it with a
    force to have the object start moving
    2nd Law:
    F=ma
    Example: If you use the same force to push a
    truck and push a car, the car will have more
    acceleration than the truck, because the car
    has less mass.
    3rd Law:
    For every action, there is an equal and
    opposite reaction.
    Example: when you jump, your legs apply a
    force to the ground, and the ground applies
    and equal and opposite reaction force that
    propels you into the air.
