Slide 5 - Enhancements Overview

Slide notes
Collaboration Messaging Framework (CMK) is a new product in Fusion Applications available from Release 11 that simplifies setting up business to
business (B2B) communication within the procure-to-pay business flow. One of the pain points for the customers is the extensive setup needed to enable
electronic messaging. Previously, for every supplier site a customer had to leave fusion ecosystem and configure Oracle B2B.

However, CMK provides out of box integration with Oracle Supplier Network. All configuration required for a supplier can be achieved within supplier site
setup inside fusion applications, eliminating the need to configure Oracle B2B. The details of this will be discussed later in the presentation. Further
collaboration messaging framework provides simplified message administration capabilities. Administrators will be able to manage electronic
communication from Fusion applications. In case of errors, they will be able to identify the cause of error and reprocess communication once the issue is
resolved.
CMK adds support for the current industry standard OAGIS message version 10.1. However, any existing customer can choose to use the existing OAGIS
Version 7.2.1 as well.

Slide 6 - Simplifies Management of B2B Messaging with Partners

Slide notes
Buyers can enable a supplier site for electronic communication using either Oracle B2B e-Commerce Gateway or Collaboration Messaging Framework
(CMK) as the communication channel. When B2B e-Commerce Gateway is used a buyer needs to configure the gateway. On the gateway which is part of
fusion middleware, a buyer needs to configure for every supplier site:
A trading partner that represents a supplier site
Documents available for use in procure to pay business flow
Channels for communication and,
Communication agreement for every document defined.
They would then need to associate the supplier site inside fusion application with the trading partner created in middleware.
In contrast, when Collaboration Messaging Framework channel is used, no configuration is needed in Oracle B2B. Instead, the following needs to be done
in the supplier site setup:
Setup B2B properties for the Supplier Site
Select the messages to be exchanged with the partner, and the service provider (if any) used for each message and,
Enable messaging. CMK provides two message formats for this: OAGIS 10.1, which is the current industry standard and the previously supported OAGIS
7.2.1.
Once these are configured, a buyer can view messages that are enabled and the direction of the message (outbound or inbound). It’s important to note that
documents with status Inactive are not communicated electronically.
Oracle Supplier network is seeded as a service provider out of the box. So communication agreements and channels do not have to be defined every time.

Slide 7 - Simplifies Message Administration Capability

Slide notes
CMK provides administrators with a dedicated work area and tasks to review and reprocess messages. The Overview allows quick visibility into any
undelivered messages, which would indicate potential problems to further investigate.
The ‘Manage Undelivered Collaboration Messages’ task allows administrators to investigate the processing history of all messages that failed processing.
The failure reason can be viewed, and message reprocessing can be initiated. Administrators also have the ability to review the complete history of all
messages, not just the undelivered ones. The task ‘Manage Collaboration Messaging History’ gives the administrator the ability to search for messages
with a broader set of status values.

Slide 8 - Adds Support for Industry Messaging Standard: OAGIS 10.1

Slide notes
Out of the box, Procurement adds support for the current OAGIS industry standard 10.1. Also, Fusion will continue to support the messages and the
versions that customers are currently using in EBS (7.2.1) to eliminate disruption to their supplier network. 10.1 messages support Create (Process)
Purchase Order, Change Purchase Order, Cancel Purchase Order and Receipt Advice for outbound processes and Shipment Notification, Invoice and
Receipt Notification for inbound processes.

Slide 9 - Procurement’s Uptake of Collaboration Messaging Framework

Slide notes
Collaboration messaging framework facilitates straightforward B2B communication implementation. It eliminates the need to navigate to Oracle B2B and set
up documents, protocols and channels for every supplier site individually. All of this is now achieved inside Fusion applications.
Also, collaboration messaging framework provides out of the box integration with Oracle Supplier Network.

Slide 85 - Additional Information

Slide notes
Additional service providers cannot be created in the current release. CMK does not support messages for order to cash flow. Oracle Supplier Network
provides support only for OAGIS 7.2.1 messages. There is a workaround that can be used to integrate with third-party service provider. It requires individual
supplier setup. This is also true if we want to communicate an OAGIS 10.1 message.
