Perspective Drawing. Again, what is Perspective

the observers’ eyes.

Your task is to guess the technical terms used in
perspective drawing.
1. It is the baseline which represents a ground plane Ground Line (GL)

in pictures having no indication of spatial depth
and upon which all figures and objects are placed
irrespective of their real spatial relationship.

object from the position of a horizontal plane

examples of a parallel perspective drawing.
There are 3 types of perspective drawing but
today we will just only discuss the one type,
the parallel perspective.

drawing and draw mechanically a parallel perspective

one point somewhere in the distance.

object that is parallel to our view or sight.
Excellent! Parallel perspective is a drawing where
one surface of the object is drawn perpendicular or
parallel to the picture plane. Is it clear? : Yes, Ma’am.
Why do you think it is called one point perspective? : It is called one point perspective because it
has only one vanishing point.
Precisely. It has only one point which do we call the
vanishing point.
Let us now proceed to the part of our lesson. I am now

going to teach you the 11 easy steps in constructing
a parallel perspective drawing . Are you ready? : Yes, Ma’am.
Remember class, in making any kind of drawing,

always observe accuracy and neatness to achieve an
attractive and effective presentation. : Okay, Ma’am.

Okay, this frontal elevation of L-shaped block will be

our basis in constructing parallel perspective drawing.
