Problem How to fix

Background noise Try to film in a quiet location and if it has


background noise use a microphone. If this
can’t be done muffle the noise slightly while
editing, this will reduce background noise.
Although this can also reduce the quality of
audio so is better to assess the situation before
the editing process.
Copyright music Make sure you don’t use copyright music as this
will be taken down. Although if this does
happen make sure you have saved your edits so
it is easy to change songs without having to go
through the whole process.
Camera out of focus To ensure the camera is in focus always look
through the lens but if you are not able to do
this and the camera does seem to be out of
focus, try to avoid those clips as much as
possible. This is why it’s important to re-shoot
and have clips spare.
Not able to use location wanted Sometimes the location you want is not able to
be used so it is always important to have a plan
B. Try to find 2 potential locations when doing
your location recces.
Natural lighting is dark If the natural lighting is to dark use a light to
make the setting brighter. If it is too late, when
it comes to the editing you can change the
brightness slightly.
Finding actors It can be hard to find actors so it is always best
to use family members as they are less likely to
let you down.
Equipment and props Equipment and props can be quite hard to find
so make sure that they are sorted out well
before filming your programme. As, if you can’t
find the right equipment you may have to
change your production slightly.
