ASPECTS OF STRATEGY IMPLEMENTATION

Strategy implementation is an internal operations involving many functional


to make the strategy work as intended . Implementation a strategy is a
process of putting strategy into action .

Strategies should lead to plans such as modernization plan for a stability strategy. Plans
result in different kinds programs. A program is a broad term that includes goals, policies,
procedures, rules and steps to be taken in putting a plan to action. An example is a R&D
program for the development of new product. Programs lead to formulation of projects. A
project is a highly specified program for which time schedule and costs are predetermined.

Activities of strategy implementation

Under strategy implementation many activities are performed. Many activities can be
performed simultaneously or sequencely and some performed repeatedly or only once.these
activities are as follows:

1) Project Implementation

2) Procedural Implementation

3) Resource Allocation

4) Structural Implementation

5) Behavioral Implementation Operational Implementation

6) Functional Implementation
7) Operational Implementation

The issues in the management of change

• Degree of change - Change are usually classified as being radical or


incremental

• Timing of change - The timing of change focuses on the question when the
change ?
• Activity areas of change .

CONCLUSION:  Strategy implementation is much more difficult than strategy


formulation , there are several barriers to implementing strategies and many
means to overcome these barriers . The models of strategy implementation is
based on the three major themes - activating strategies - managing change
and achieving effectiveness
