TECH RIDER – Revised APR 10th 2017

CREW:
Band travels with 1 tour manager, 2 sound engineers and 2 backline technicians. We need one (1)
sound engineer familiar with the house equipment to assist our crew and one (1) lighting
engineer to run the lights for the show. Local technicians must have good knowledge of English
language. In some cases we might travel with a lighting engineer of which the venue organization will
be informed in advance.

STAGEHANDS:
At least two (2) sober and able stagehands are needed for load in, installing of our backdrop and load
out. If the venue has stairs or the load in is otherwise complicated, please provide at least two (2) extra
stagehands. In case of a support act(s) all the stagehands are needed to assist our crew during the
changeover as well.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

PA:
• Michael Monroe is a loud rock band and therefore we need a powerful, professional quality stereo PA-
system. The system should be able to provide even coverage over the entire listening area and a clean,
full range SPL of 115dBA at FOH without any limiting (I don’t mix that loud, I need headroom). Please
make sure your system is time aligned in advance. Subs must run on Left & Right, and not on
separate feed. Line array systems preferred (d&b audiotechnik, L-Acoustics, Martin Audio or equivalent).
• Please forward house PA specs in advance!

FOH:
• We will always bring our own FOH console and FX rack.
• We require 2m*2m space at FOH to accommodate the desk and rack. An empty flight case or such
underneath our rack would be great.
• We also need you to provide 16A 230V schuko (German type) electricity and min. 32/6 analogue
multicore at FOH (returns 1-2 intro tape, 3 talkback feed and 5-6 PA left-right).
• AES feed also available to the PA-system.

MONITOR SETUP:
• We will always bring our own monitor console.
• We require an area 2m*2m for our monitor setup. The desk position should be in clear view of
the stage and preferably situated stage left. Small table or empty flight case underneath the desk
would be great.
• We need you to provide:
o 16A 230V schuko (German type) electricity at the monitor desk position
o 1:1 split from analogue multicore at the monitor desk position
o 10 professional quality bi-amped wedges incl. cue (min. 12”+2”)
o 1 professional quality drum sub
o 2 professional quality sidefills with subs
o 2 xlr-lines to drummer’s wired IEM system
• Please forward house monitor specs in advance!

RISER:
• 3m*2m*0,4m rolling riser for our drums, carpeted and skirted in black

GUITAR TECH AREA:

• 3m*2m area on stage left (straight access to stage) with 230V schuko (German type)
electricity
and A TRASHCAN (must have, otherwise the stage may be covered with used strings etc.)
