1. What is a sprite?
Sprite is a small graphic character that performs actions in a Scratch project. Scratch provides a
number of in-built Sprites. Cat is the default Sprite in Scratch.
2. Mention the four ways to add a new sprite in scratch.
i. Choose sprite from library
ii. Paint new sprite
iii. Upload sprite from file
iv. New sprite from camera

3. What are the various cursor tools in Scratch?


i. Duplicate: This option creates a duplicate copy of the selected Sprite.
ii. Delete: Clicking on this option will delete the selected Sprite.
iii. Grow: This option increases the size of the Sprite.
iv. Shrink: It helps to decrease the size of the Sprite.

4. Explain the following Internet Terms.


a. ISP: An ISP is a company that gives us access to the internet for a fee. The full form of ISP is
Internet Service Provider.
b. URL: Each website is identified by its unique address called URL. URL stands for Uniform
Resource Locator. The URL should be entered in the address bar of the web browser.

5. What happens to motion block when the stage is selected?


When the stage is selected in scratch, the motion block scripts do not appear. This happens
because the stage is not supposed to move.
