    Wastewater

    AccoFloc® AccoFloc products are high-swelling, sodium bentonite clays selected for
    their unique ion exchange capability found only in the Black Hills region
    of western U.S. The ion exchange capability allows AccoFloc to increase
    clarity and remove trace metals from water or wastewater.
    Clay-Based Flocculant Aid
    AccoFloc is offered in two forms, 350 and SDG. AccoFloc 350 is a high-
    quality powdered sodium bentonite chosen for its flocculation characteristics.
    AccoFloc SDG is a high-quality granular sodium bentonite manufactured as an agglomerated product which allows it to
    immediately disperse when mixed with water. SDG does not clump when added to water therefore does not require specialized
    mixing equipment to create a slurry.
    AccoFloc must be used in conjunction with polyelectrolytes or inorganic coagulants to create a floc. It is normally pre-
    mixed with tap water to five-percent-by-weight slurry and is never added directly to a wastewater stream in dry form. After
    approximately two hours of hydration time, the resulting slurry can be metered into the water or wastewater treatment mix tank
    at a rate of 200 ppm to 500 ppm.
