Prior to Resources Google Slides Presentation Lesson: to Bring: Ada’s Violin Carnival of the Animals Time: Content/Description Notes/Assessments: Introduction: 1 min Students sit and face the screen Body: Carnival of the Animals Begin with the Wild Donkeys: read and listen, asking students to listen to 12 mins why it might sound like wild donkeys Do the same with the Tortoises movement: reviewing quick the different instruments in the score and the family they are a part of- if there is still lots of time, move on to Elephants TRANSITION Reteach the tune: Ding Dong I’ve Got the Rhythm in my Head ding dong ding dong hot dog! Form two circles half the students in the inner circle facing the outer circle. Sing the song and do patty-cake style with your partner. On Hot- clap own 12 mins hands. On dog- clap partner’s hands.
