The text describes various Tibetan Buddhist purification, empowerment and offering rituals including purification with mantras of the five elements, the visualization and activation of protective deities, and the invocation of long life and blessings.

The purification and empowerment rituals are intended to purify negative energies and empower practitioners with blessings to aid in their spiritual practice and attainments.

Many Sanskrit mantras are used, including those of Mandarava, Ekajati, Rahula and other protectors for purification and empowerment. The Hundred-Syllable Mantra is also included for purification of negative karma.
