this machine with a good understand of their contents.

Warnings are mainly concerned with incorrect and dangerous uses

WARNING which could lead to serious damage such as death and serious injury
of the user.

Check grounding to avoid an electric shock.

Improper grounding will cause an electric shock or fire.

Be sure to use the power supply within the range shown on the rating nameplate.
Otherwise, an electric shock or fore may occur.

Insert the power plug surely into the plug socket.

Improper insertion will cause overheating to the power plug, resulting in a fire.
Check whether any dust is not attached on the power plug.

If you feel a burnt smell or other abnormal smell, stop operation and pull out the
power plug of this machine, and then inform your distributor or the place for
inquiries described in this operation manual of it.
If the machine is operated in an abnormal status, an electric shock, fire, or failure
may occur.

Since the soldering head will become hot, be careful not to get burnt.
When replacing the soldering tip or heater, turn off the power switch in advance
and wait until the temperature is lowered enough.

Do not disassemble or modify this machine.

Otherwise, an electric shock or failure may occur.

Do not use this product in a place which is exposed to flammable gas or

corrosive gas. If such gas leaks and stays around the main unit, a fire will occur.

Keep off the main unit and power cables from water or oil.
Otherwise, an electric shock, fire or failure may occur.

When this machine is not used for a long time, pull bout the power plug of the
machine from the plug socket beforehand.
Otherwise, dust or the like will stay, resulting in a fire.

Operate the machine within the rated capacity.

Otherwise, a fire or failure will occur.

i
Cautions are mainly concerned with incorrect uses which could lead
CAUTION to an injury of the user or physical damage.

Check grounding.
Improper grounding will lead to a malfunction or failure.

Take care to protect the operating environment when using this controller.
Otherwise, it would break down.

Use the machine in a place which is not exposed to electric noise.

Otherwise, a malfunction or failure will occur.

Use the machine in an indoor place which is not exposed to direct sunlight.
Otherwise, a malfunction or failure will occur.

Connect the connecting cables securely to the main unit.

Otherwise, a malfunction or failure will occur.

1. Overview
This is a dedicated automatic soldering head having a function that causes the soldering head to
go up and down by using an air cylinder.
The heater and soldering iron tip are installed in the heater block that can be separated from the
head unit.
The heater and soldering iron tip can be replaced in a unit of heater block. This permits greatly
reducing the heater/iron tip replacing time.

6. Routine Checks
Check the following items daily to perform soldering without any problem.

6.1 Soldering Iron Tip

The deterioration of the soldering iron tip gives the greatest effect to the good soldering quality.
Before starting operations, check the soldering iron tip for deterioration. If any deterioration is
found, replace it with a new iron tip.
For replacing the iron tip, we recommend that the customer should determine the service life of
the iron tip and replace the iron head periodically.

6.2 Needle
When soldering is executed, flux smoke will be generated. This smoke will be attached to the
needle little by little. After smoke is attached, the internal diameter will get narrow. As faults
due to this attachment, the following can be mentioned.
 Solder is caught in the inside of the needle, so that non-solder or insufficient solder will occur.
 Solder clogging will occur frequently.

*Counter measures
Remove the needle at the end of daily operations depending on the degree of contamination
due to smoke, and clean it with alcohol.
After cleaning, blow the inside of the needle by using an air gun. After that, install the needle.

*When removing the needle

 Check whether the end of the solder becomes round. If the end is round, cut the end with
nippers and then install the needle.
If the needle is forcedly removed when the end of the solder is round, it will be caught in the
needle and cannot be removed.
 If the needle is removed in the installed status, it may come into contact with the iron tip.
Remove the needle after it is not in contact.

Make routine checks after turning off the power supply of the controller as a safety
measure.
