A very pleasant afternoon to one and all gathered here. I deem it a great pleasure and privilege in
welcoming the gathering on this auspicious occasion. I feel extremely delighted in extending a warm
welcome to our esteemed guest of honor Dr. S. Chitra , Professor , Department of Tamil , Bharathiar
University , Coimbatore. Mam has specialized research in Tamil Language. Mam is a person who
motivates and inspires the student community in academic and co-curricular excellence. She is an
academic adviser to various academic institution and universities. Mam has authored numerous
research articles and were published in referred journals. Mam has been serving as a resource person
to few foreign countries like Malaysia, Singapore , France , Srilanka , Switzerland & England on
academic affairs. Mam has a special interest in poetic writing & literary criticism. Mam has a broad
field of specialization in sangam literature, modern literature, mass communication, comparative
studies & inter disciplinary projects. Mam has a rich teaching experience of 27 years. Mam had
published around 170 articles till now. She has produced 30 PhD and 78 MPhil scholars. Beyond
teaching Mam has been serving as a member of syndicate of the Bharathiar University (2015-2018) &
senate of Bharathiar University (2015-2018). Mam is also a member of academic council, standing
committee, college committee, Board of studies & Faculty selection committee. Mam is the chairman
& member of question paper setting board & also serving as a placement officer. Mam is the deputy
coordinator for UGC-SAP-DRS phase II and coordinator of swami vivekanandar higher research &
education centre, Bharathiar University , Publication division , Bharathiar University & also
coordinator for International & National Conferences, workshops, symposiums, seminars, refresher
courses & for various endowment lectures. Mam has also served as as a students coordinator &
cultural coordinator. She has been a radio Jockey trainer at All India Radio Station. To her credits

make this event more coulourful and vibrant. I welcome you dear alumni.
I also extend my heartfelt welcome to our Principal Rev. Dr. Sr. Helen who continues to be our source
of encouragement. I welcome you sister.
I also extend my cheerful welcome to our secretary Rev. Dr. Sr. Ruby Alangara Mary, our Vice
Principal Rev. Dr. Sr. Mary Fabiola & Our Controller of examinations Rev. Dr. Sr. Emelda Mary to

I am profusely overjoyed in welcoming Dr. Mrs. Mercy Anandraj , Associate Prof in History & Dean
