Alternative Energy Poster

Create a poster for an alternative energy source of your choice. Today, the major
sources of energy are fossil fuels (gas, coal, and oil). These resources are nonrenewable
and produce a tremendous amount of air and water pollution. Some examples of
renewable, alternative sources of energy are biomass, solar-electric, solar-heating, wind,
hydroelectric, tidal, geothermal, biomass, cogeneration (trash to steam) and nuclear
energy. However, you are not limited to these examples. You may choose one of the
examples of alternative energy sources given or you may choose a different type of
alternative energy not mentioned.
Artwork may be hand drawn or can be graphics from other sources. Graphics are
pictures and images from newspapers, magazines, books, and other sources. However, if
you use graphics from other sources you must keep a record of where they are from. If
you want you may draw your own pictures and images.

 The poster should contain a slogan describing why a person should

change to or use the type of alternative energy you have chosen.

 The poster must contain 3 pros and 3 cons to using your chosen
alternative energy resource. The poster should contain diagrams, tables,
and graphs that support the energy source.

 The poster should be a minimum of 18” x 24”.

 A bibliography citing sources used is required on the poster.
