Procedure: Describe how you will:

Introduce: Provide an agenda of the lesson plan and start off with an
icebreaker so students can feel at ease as this may be a
difficult topic for some students.

Communicate For todays lesson, we will begin by exploring personal reactions


Lesson Objective: to anger, as well as learn ways to control it.
Teach Content: Discussion Questions: What do you do when you’re angry? Do
you see a correlation between how you deal with anger and
how your parents deal with anger? What makes a response
“unhealthy”?
Practice Content: Students will be handed, “My Anger” handout to complete and
as a group, answers will be discussed and listed on the board. A
second handout, “False beliefs about anger” will distributed
and as a group discuss their reactions.

Summarize: Students will complete both worksheets and be given tips to


keep their anger from boiling over.

Close: Provide a summary of the lesson.

This lesson gives students the opportunity to understand that emotions just are;
they are not good or bad. How they are expressed can be good or bad. Providing
students this information can potentially shift their behaviors in school and can
decrease consequences given to students for their behavior.
