Cassava or kamoteng kahoy is a basic staple to 500 million people in tropical and
sub-tropical regions. It has the potential to reduce hunger because it is a cheap substitute
for rice. Cassava is also used for animal feed and starch production.
Thailand is the world’s biggest exporter of cassava. The Philippines along with
Indonesia, India, Vietnam is Asia’s major exporter.
Cassava is grown mostly in Central Visayas, Bicol, and Central Mindanao. They are
also an important crop in Eastern and Western Visayas, Western and Southern

2.1 Product/Service Description
A new custom CaShake business offers a new kind of product which is cassava roll
and alog-alog. Cassava roll is made out of wrapper stuffed with cheese, crushed cassava
(kamoteng kahoy) mixed with sugar and all-purpose cream. Fried in oil and served with
syrup (arnibal) on top. Cassava roll, is consists of pure ingredients, and not just only a
powder or food flavoring. While alog-alog, is a flavored powdered drink that is mixed with
water, ice, and condensed milk. Then for the final step, it is needed to be shaked (shake-
shake/alog-alog).
CaShake is a business who’s not only good in taste, but also it contained vitamins
that are needed for everyday life. Such as Cassava carries some of the valuable B-
complex group of vitamins such as folates, thiamin, pyridoxine (vitamin B-6), riboflavin,
and pantothenic acid. It is one of the chief sources of some essential minerals like zinc,
magnesium, copper, iron, and manganese for many inhabitants in the tropical belts.

Rolls doesn’t end in cheese sticks. Cassava rolls are healthier and more satisfying.
Cassava roll, is consists of pure ingredients, and not just only a powder or food flavoring.
Cassava roll will be served with syrup on top.
Alog-alog is the answer of our desire to quench our thirst in a very affordable price.
The name alog-alog came from the product itself. Alog-alog is a drink that will be
presented based on how we Filipinos traditionally contained drinks such as soft drinks,
palamig, etc. A plastic (plastic used in ice making) with plastic straw.
It comes in three different flavors namely chocolate, buko pandan, and mango.

Our ideal customer is between the ages of 9-12 which serve as a primary
customer, while the secondary customer is between 13-17.
Children and teenager are usually willing to buy simple and affordable snacks that
we can consider unhealthy foods, that’s why CaShake will offer a new product in the
market. Children and teenager will definitely enjoy the product that we promote. The
cassava rolls and alog-alog that can satisfy their thirst and hunger at an affordable price.
3.3 Pricing Strategy
Cashake’s pricing strategy will be similar to pricing below competition.
3 pieces for P5.00 will be the cost for cassava roll and P5.00 for alog-alog which
has 3 different flavors (chocolate, buko pandan, and mango).
We came up with this kind of strategy because of our target market. It would be
effective because It’s very affordable.

4. Production process
PROCESS:
FOR CASSAVA ROLL
RAW MATERIALS 1. Peel the cassava and boil. After this,

Executive Summary
The CaShake will offer a new variety of snacks and drinks to the customers. It has the

of the stall will focus on conveying customers to buy. We displayed a large design of our
logo on our stall to notice and draw attention to some people passing by.
Cassava roll is made out of wrapper stuffed with cheese, crushed cassava, mixed with
sugar all purpose cream and alog-alog with 3 different flavors to be offered namely
chocolate, buko, pandan, and mango. We only cook-cassava from time to time a
customer purchase it. Customers can only purchase either cassava rolls or alog-alog or
a combination of two.

CaShake is under the food manufacturing industry. We will purchase raw materials and
it will undergo into a process that will lead eventually to finished product. The production
cost is relatively inexpensive. The equipment that will be used is very accessible as will
as the raw materials needed. Cassava, which is the main components of cassava rolls
will be purchased in the Alabang Central Market. For our 2 nd product which is alog-alog,
the primary material that is necessary is the powdered flavored drinks, knowingly very
abundant in the market. The flavors that we need are chocolate, mango and buko pandan.
We will deliver our product to our valued customers through selling it personally. We will
have a food cart and they can have the product from time to time that purchased it.
