First of all I would like to pay my humble gratitude to our honorable guide teacher
Mr. Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain for guiding us and being with us throughout
the visit and also for giving us the opportunity to work on a report and prepare the
report under his proper supervision.
The overall experience helped me to prepare the report accordingly and increase my
practical knowledge on the relevant sector.

OVERVIEW

1.1 Corporate History
Bextex Ltd. (the “Company”) was incorporated in Bangladesh as a Public Limited
Company with limited liability on 8 March 1994 and commenced commercial
operation in 1995 and also went into the public issue of shares and debentures in the
same year.
This company is located at the BEXIMCO Industrial Park. Bextex Ltd. has a state of
the art composite knit fabric production mill, which serves the growing needs of high-
quality knit garments exporters in Bangladesh. The project was set up as a state of the
art knit fabric knitting, dyeing and finishing facility. During the year the Company
produced and sold high quality of knit fabrics and bringing forth all the latest in hard
and soft technologies in knitting, dyeing and finishing of knit fabric.

1.2 Mission
The mission of BEXIMCO is to create value by continually improving performance
to meet the increasing needs of their customers for better quality, greater reliability
and more innovative service at competitive prices.

1. Dyeing Area:
In the dyeing area, there are various machines like pad steam range, cold pad badge,
jigger machines etc. and each has their own functions and applications only for the
purpose of dyeing the fabrics.

BEXIMCO Textiles only produces and prepares the fabrics and after that they
send the fabrics to their own garments to produce the final clothes.
The quality and pricing factors are determined mutually with the buyers in
form of agreement prior to any production operations.
Another important fact is that BEXIMCO is required to complete 50% LC
before any orders. These financial functions are managed by the
merchandisers.
The fabrics produced by BEXIMCO, is not available anywhere else except its
own showrooms.

2.2 Safety Measures
The various safety measures taken by the BEXIMCO Textiles are:
Use of Masks
Use of earplugs from heavy machine noise
No smoking
No use of mobile phones
Fire Extinguishers
Emergency evacuation plan

The overall experience of BEXIMCO Industrial Visit of 19 batch was really
entertaining, pleasing and educational as well.
After the industry visit, all the students of all sections headed to the Shohag Polli
Resort and enjoyed a lot. There were various means of entertainment like swimming
pool, mini cultural function, entertaining games and many others.
The faculty members who guided us and managed the students to stay disciplined
were also flexible and enjoyed with the students.
