Paper Carton Box Specification

I. MODELS
A. Card board boxes –
Thick paper stock or heavy paper-pulp. Generally used for light weight up to 5 Kg.

Use: - For only non metal items and consumable items only.
Should not be used for export.
Manufactures joint shall be with adhesive only. Top flap shall be double flap if not specified.

B. Corrugated boxes

Generally used for medium and heavy weight where moisture resistance, wet strength, edge crush
strength, burst strength, flat crush test. Bending resistance, impact resistance, cushioning, shock
absorption, tear resistance are required.

Made up of 3 layers of paper that includes:-


 an inside liner,
 an outside liner,

 Fluting with a ruffled shape, this runs in between the two. Fluting can be single to three layers.

Manufactures joint shall be with adhesive only. Top flap shall be double flap if not specified. Normal shelf
life is 90 Days Maximum.

Requirement for any performance test such as burst pressure, crush test & break test shall be specified during
ordering. These tests are not mandatory for regular orders.

II. CONSTRUCTION

Made of thick paper without reinforcements

B. Corrugated boxes
