ASSESSMENT TASK: Final Assignment1: Final Project Proposal

This Final Project supports the attainment of the following Course Intended Learning Outcomes:
CILO (1): Identify components, features, characteristics and uses of C++ in various applications
CILO (2): Design computing based solution using control structures, functions, array and other
statements; and
CILO (3): Develop a simple transaction based system using C++ Language.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In order to attain the course intended learning outcomes of the course, the students enrolled in ITE 001
are required to apply, design and develop an application specifically a Transaction Processing System
(TPS). The proposal system is based on the actual requirements of a real company.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

System Requirements:
• The proposal system is based on the actual requirements of a real company.;
• The products contain at least five(5) categories and other sub-categories;
• The system comprises discount or special promo; and
• The system can receive payment and compute for possible change.

The students must:

• Develop a Transaction Based System using the C++ Programming Language.
• Identify the minimum requirements of the proposed transaction based system.
• Include unique feature/s on their proposed project.

Document Requirements:
The project documentation should include the following:
Title Page
I. INTRODUCTION
A. Background of the Study (Issues)
● This is a brief account of the rationale for the choice of the topic for research. It should
describe the circumstances that prompted you to undertake the research work.
B. Project Objectives (What do you want to accomplish in your research?)
● The problem or the objectives of a research should evolve from an unexplained
phenomenon that needs to be resolved and that should be stated precisely, accurately and
clearly. Should be bulleted.
C. Significance of the Study (Contributions of the project/study)
● This section justifies the study. It should include a statement of the contribution of the
study in pushing back the existing frontiers of knowledge. It should also include the
potential beneficiaries of the research and the possible uses of the result.
D. Scope and Delimitations (Inclusive frame of reference as well as procedural limits of the study)
● Boundaries of the study need to be clearly defined and stated specifically. In technical
developmental research, the variables to be studied, raw materials used, and
specifications, etc. must be included.
