Tampa Armature Works

Dear Michael McInnes,

I am writing to you concerning the available internship position at Tampa Armature Works’ in your Riverview
Branch. I came upon this amazing opportunity through the aid of indeed.com, and given my background, I
believe I am the right person for this position.

I am currently enrolled in the undergraduate Electrical Engineering program at The Pennsylvania State
University and am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Since I am a senior, I have obtained
a variety of experiences with designing and documentation computer programs such as MATLAB, SolidWorks,
and AutoCAD. I have not only completed numerous course projects using programs such as AutoCAD, but I
have also done some side projects outside of class in order to acquire a better comprehension for these
designing softwares. For my class projects, I am required to work in a group most of the time, allowing me to
understand the importance of communication.

I understand that TAW is a multi-million dollar company, which supplies and maintains power generators and
power distribution systems throughout the entire world. TAW has spent years proving to its customers that they
are a very reliable company. Which is why, it is safe to reason that Tampa Armature Works requires dependable
workers that could handle a variety of challenging tasks. By financing my education with a number of jobs over
the past few years, I have become quite accustomed at balancing my academic and occupational workloads.
From my previous jobs and projects, I understand the importance of meticulous, organized, and efficient work.
With my strong background in design software and my immense interest in hardware designs, I believe I am the
right person for this internship position.

My resume, which is attached, contains additional information about my education and skills. I would
appreciate the opportunity to discuss this internship position with you and to provide further information on my
candidacy. I can be reached anytime via my cell phone, 267-984-3802, or email, [email protected]. Once
again, I am very enthusiastic about this opportunity, and am looking forward to an interview. Thanks for your
time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Wai G. Sze
