Assignment Tasks

Your assignment consists of two parts: Assignment 1 is the design and development of a
website for OrganicFarm (worth 60% of the total marks of the assignment), and Assignment
2 is an evaluation report consisting of reflective commentary on assignment one (worth
40% of the total marks of the assignment). Both tasks are individual pieces of work.
Assignment 1 will assess learning outcomes 2 & 3 whereas Assignment 2 will assess learning
outcomes 1 & 4.

Assignment 2: Reflection and Evaluation Report (40%)

Your second task is to write a self-reflective commentary about your website design
and development, testing and deployment techniques.

Having created your website, you should write a self-reflective commentary critically
reflecting on your project. Your commentary should critically explore the technologies used
to produce your website. Your commentary should show evidence of your reading and
research and use of Harvard referencing style.

Your reflection is a chance to look back on what you have down and to revisit key design
and technical decisions you made. You will evaluate these decisions and their impact to
determine future enhancements in your solution as well as your own abilities to work as a
web designer.

Deliverables

Recommended maximum 1500 words a reflective report on your project and submit it via
Turnitin. Assignment 2 is worth 40% of the overall assignment. The marking criteria is

Referencing and Bibliography:
Although much of your report will contain an existing body of knowledge, you must
write your assignment in your own words to demonstrate your understanding of the
subject. You are required to follow the Roehampton Harvard referencing system
when citing others' work. An accompanying list of references (on a separate page)
must also be provided as part of your report. Extensively referenced work reflects
the level of research you conducted in the process of producing the document. It is
also an acknowledgment of another people’s work. Correct referencing
demonstrates your academic and professional skill. It also reflects your academic
honesty and thus to some degree protects you from cases of plagiarism.

Please refer to Moodle for the latest version of the Roehampton Harvard referencing
System or ask the library. Contact the ACE Team for workshops.

Academic Integrity is a matter that is taken very seriously at the university

and student should endeavour to enforce it to all their assignments. In other
words, plagiarism, collusion (working and copying from another student)
and ghost writing will not be tolerated and will result in sanctions, e.g. a
capped resit, suspension and/or withdrawal.
