Answer: Having a list of checklist of your must-haves and needs
is to avoid waste of time and misunderstanding. And to
make sure that everything you want to discuss will be
covered

important in choosing a venue?
Answer: This is important for an effective and glitch-free
negotiation. And because negotiations often involve
compromise, knowing your event’s priorities of needs
and wants means you are not unknowingly
compromising your client’s must-haves.

Answer: Negotiations are important for they contribute
significantly on event’s success, as they help you build
better relationships, deliver lasting, quality solutions
rather than poor short-term solutions that do not
satisfy the needs of either party and help you avoid
future problems and conflicts.

negotiating for the venue?

Answer: It is best to base your negotiation on the minimum


number of participants because the venue is holding you
to that number as a minimum. An overestimate on
your part at this time in the negotiations could
mean higher costs and a larger space than you
need.

Answer: is it very important to review everything stipulated in


it. Once a contract is in force it generally cannot be
altered unless all parties agree. Thus, for both parties’
security and to avoid whatever misunderstanding that
may arise along the way so you must be meticulous
in all terms and conditions. One misunderstood word
will sometimes cost you your reputation.

2. Why is it best to give the minimum number of participants while


negotiating for the venue?

Answer: It is best to base your negotiation on the minimum


number of participants because the venue is holding
you to that number as a minimum. An overestimate
on your part at this time in the negotiations could
mean higher costs and a larger space than you
need.

Answer: Be sure to get the access time and final-out time in


order know when you can begin to set up and when you
have to be broken down by in order to not incur
overtime rates. Getting it in writing will assure you of a
smooth and less hassle set-up day and to make sure
that you will not exceed the time allotted to you. This is
because, in most cases, overtime use of the venue
entails additional cost.

2. Why is it important to know the décor restrictions?

Answer: You need to make sure you are well aware in advance
of all décor restrictions so that you can prepare something
that fits in with the requirements. This is to avoid
misunderstanding and troubles during your event now
what are the venues restrictions before you sign the
agreement. So that if you find something disagreeable on
the terms of décor restrictions, you can still negotiate for
it.
