Class our lesson for today is about comparing
objects using the expression long, longer and
longest.

I will show you the different objects


given to me.
Class, we can compare the length of an
object by telling which is long, longer and
longest.
When we say length it is the measurement
from one end to the other end.

Class I have here a pictures of three girls.


The three girls are Rizza, Andrea and Sarah.
Rizza, Andrea and Sarah are friends. They have
their new skirt.

Who are the three girls in the picture? - The three girls on the picture are
Rizza, Andrea and Sarah.
What did they just have? - A new skirt

What can you say about the lenght of their - Rizza has along skirt. Andrea ‘s
skirt? skirt is longer than Rizza and Sarah has
longest skirt among the three.
Who has a long skirt? - Rizza
Who has a longer skirt? - Andrea
Who has a longest skirt? - Sarah

If you will arrange the girls according to the


length of their skirt, who will come 1st 2nd and
3rd?
1st Sarah - 1st Rizza
2nd Rizza - 2nd Andrea
3rd Andrea - 3rd Sarah
Why the girls arrange this way; Rizza, Andrea - The girls were arranged starting
and Sarah? with the one wearing the long, longer
ad longest.
How do we know the length of an object? - We know the length of an object
by comparing them.
1.1 Modeling
I will select three girls from the class to go
in front showing a long, longer and longest
skirt.
You will identify who among the selected
pupils have a long, longer and longest skirt.
We will familiarize how long, longer and
longest is being used.

Class I have a concrete objects and this


time you will arrange objects from long, longer
and longest by writing 1 for long objects, 2 for
longer objects and 3 for longest objects.

A. Group Activity
We will have a group activity, class. I will
group you into two. The first and second row
will be the first group, the third and fourth row
will be the second group and the third row will
be the third group. Now choose your leader.

B. Setting of Standards
Before we start, what are the standards to
be followed in doing a group activity? - Follow instructions
- Cooperate with the group
- Work quietly
Ok class, I hope everybody will cooperate - Listen to the leader
and please bear in mind those standards you
have said. You have 5-7 minutes to do the
activity and be ready to present your work.

C. Distribution of Activity Sheets

Directions: Arrange the objects from long,
longer and longest. Write 1 for long objects, 2
for longer objects and 3 for longest objects.
