UP AND RUNNING FOR Microgreens are young edible seedlings

Less than $100 harvested at the cotyledon leaf stage.

They have low start up costs.

Super fast growing cycle.

Meet Miguel High nutritional value.

and Mellisa. Using racks with 4 shelves, many

growers can produce 25 lbs of micro-
greens in a weekly cycle in a 10 ft2
space. At $25 per lbs that is $625 per
cycle or $2,500 per month.

They run a family owned business composed by a third generation

of farmers that seeks to provide a more sustainable and healthier
form of food while honoring their ancestors’ growing technique
known as chinampas.

These floating gardens are applied in a modern setting.

Their microgreens are grown in a small optimized space, where

water gets recycled into an aquaponic system that provides nutri-
ents to our greens.
THE OUTPUT
The farm is located in the middle of the sophisticated city of
Bellevue, Washington. That means they have plenty of customers
on their doorstep.

This vertical urban farm can provide delicious healthy food year-
round and produce up to 600 pounds of greens monthly. At $20
that means a whopping $12,000 per month.

The microgreens are sold via different routes. The produce is sold
to restaurants, via home delivery and at a farmer’s market.

Through design the farm is also environmentally sound with very

low water and power usage.

Our microgreens are nutrient dense and a super food because of its
nature but also because of all the love and care we put into grow-
ing them. I mean what food listens to Mozart from seed to harvest?
