Creative Beadcraft has added a selection of Preciosa’s new 2-hole
bow beads to their ever-growing range of multi-hole beads. These
striking 3.5x13.5mm beads offer lots of creative opportunities. The
gentle curve of the bow beads means they work well with other
curved beads. They combine beautifully with the Preciosa 2-hole
12mm candy and with staples such as fire-polished beads and seed Christmas
beads. They can also be used for more complex designs such as comes early

here is a lot of talk
about all the new
beads currently on
the market. Some people
love the idea of working
with new beads, but it’s not
everyone’s cup of tea. There
is always the question of -
What can I do with them?
In this feature, we’re going
to pick a bead each issue to
test and talk about.
So with that in mind,
what is a Paisley Duo? This
beautiful little shaped bead
is flat on both sides, mean-
ing you can use it either way.
Its 8x5mm and comes in
around 130 colours. It would
be lovely for adding petal
shapes when using a focal in
the middle. Or try making a
lovely butterfly or fairy wings
inspired piece for a spring or
summer day.
