INTRODUCTION
Bhimthadi Jatra is a special section of 300 stalls comprising of
Artisans, Craftsmen and Designers working in the field of
reviving and sustaining the traditional handlooms, Handicrafts
and other crafts of India and out of India. They had an escalating
response from audiences across Pune last year, making it a
massivesuccess. This year they put forward a theme for the
products based on 'Recycle, Reuse and Sustain' at Bhimthadi
Select. The stalls can display an array of products which promote
noble cause of sustainable living and they look forward to seeing
support, participation and togetherness towards an eco-friendly
Earth.
Last year Sale - 46 Lakh+
Total no of visitors- 1.5+ Lakh

Information About ‘Bhimthadi Jatra’:


Name: 14th Bhimtadi Jatra
Location: New Agriculture College Ground, Sinchannagar,
Shivajinagar, Pune.
Reason for selection of location: The location is in centre of the
city, also easy to locate and reach. The ground was quite big
enough. There was enough space for parking.
Duration: 18th to 22nd December 2019.
Timing: 18th Dec - 4pm onwards
19th - 22nd Dec - 10am onwards
Type of event: Minor Event.
Event conducted since: 14 years.

Baramati based Agriculture Development Trust (ADT),
The Mahatma Phule Agriculture University, Rahul Development
Board & State Government Agriculture Department.

Objectives:-
-Financial & Social women empowerment.
-To groom and compete at National & International
entrepreneurship.
-To strive for linkages and networking to create niche market for
women.
-To uplift the culture and tradition with an active platform.
-To create awareness in business area for women. Educate them in
business skills and make them self sufficient.

What is ‘Bhimthadi Select’ ?


The 'Select' is a unique segment of 20 slows down, involving craftsmans,
experts and architects working in the field of resuscitating and managing
customary handloom and handiworks. Mold architect Pallavi Dutta, an
outstanding name in the form business, is the keeper of the 'Select'
segment. "We might want to help supplement the pay of who are
generally overlooked in the hustle of regular day to day existence.

Why Pune ?
Bhimthadi fair is organized in Pune for its reputation as the cultural
and educational capital of Maharashtra and its unique distinction for
having distinguished and noted personalities and traditions. Pune has
been recognized as a global city with all modern means of
communication like air, rail and e-services. Pune is Known for its social,
financial, cultural, educational and historical importance and aspects.

Bhimthadi Jatra is based on the concept of 'Wari' this year. Loyalty,


service, faith, art, culture, spirituality will be seen. Pingala, Vasudev,
Astrologer, Nandibail, Kumbhar, Bharud, Jagaran, Gondhali, Pottaraj,
Devotees of Maryi, Tribal arts, Tarafa, Sanai-Chaughada will be
involved in this.

Entry charges - Entry charges were ₹ 50 for Adults


For 5-10 age 25 ₹ each person
For 0-5 age Free

Participants registration -
Rent ₹ 25,000 - 30,000/- per stall for 4 days. No extra above the rent.
Registered NGO's and trust's working in the field at Indian
Handlooms and Handicrafts or recycled product If eligible will be
considered for a discounted stall rate of 10,000/- for 4 days.
Only 5 stalls allotted for the same.

Marketing-
This event has the most promoted section through Television, Radio,
PR and Social Media starting Two months in advance.

FINDINGS :-
The bhimthadi jatra pune is an initiative to rekindle the lost glory of
the traditional handicrafts and to thereby support the talented women
who create these works to exemplary beauty. One of the largest
platform in Maharashtra for women support groups Bhimthadi Jatra
is a much-awaited event for the aficionados of culture as well as for
those who wish to give back something to the society.

LEARNING :-
The best thing about that event was cleanliness, securities,
arrangements.
