PRODUCTS Amakan – made out of palm oil tree , is a traditional, earth-friendly

technique of hand weaving. This form of livelihood is abundant in


Barangay Langkilaan and Manat of Trento which is abundant with palm oil
Organic Farming – is the main source of livelihood here in as it is abundant with oil palm plantation.

BRIEF HISTORY Ratan Basket Weaving - Basket weaving, basketry, or basket


making is the process of weaving pliable materials into a basket or other
similar form. People and artists who weave baskets are called basket
makers and basket weavers.
The first settlement in Trento is situated near the river and is called
“Bahayan” by the famous Baganies”, warrior, Bagani Dago and Bagani Basketry is made from a variety of fibrous or pliable materials—anything
Kawayan. A term Bahayan is referring to the lead sinker at the base of that will bend and form a shape. Examples include pine straw, stems,
their fishing net “Pukot”. When this settlement is reached by the Jesuit animal hair, hide, grasses, thread, and fine wooden splints.
Missionaries, Bahayan was christened “Trento” after the council of Trent
in 1845.

 Trento was formerly a barrio of Bunawan called Bahayan (referring to
