PROJECT DESCRIPTION
2.0 Goal Statement To construct a car park in which cars and other vehicles can be parked and
left temporarily. A multi-storey car park (MSCP) is a stacked car park that
has multiple storeys
2.1 Description and or The DBCYA Management Committee recognises the need to develop its
Background facilities to match internal demands and neighbouring community
development trends, including improved car parking facilities to ease
congestion. To address this the Management Committee is planning,
amongst other long term strategic initiatives, the addition of a new car
park that will provide up to an additional 60 new car parks, ease-of-access
facilities for handicapped persons and a dedicated parking area for
pushbikes, whilst taking into account the needs of the neighbouring
residential complexes.
2.2 Objectives The long-term objective is that car park users within the overall City should
be paying for the facility, not rate payers. Therefore surpluses being earned
on all car parking can be considered as relevant when assessing the funding
of the MSCP.
Provide greater car parking facilities to cater to the wide range of
members and guests.
Improved access for members and visitors to utilise social facilities.
Provide an affordable car storage option for Sadgroves Creek
residents who have no other off-road option.
