Topic: Life as a Working Law Student.

Interviewer: Sir,Good afternoon, I would like first to introduce myself, I amShielaJadie, a student of Ateneo
de Naga University. Part of our requirement in one of our subjects in Educational Psychology
is to conduct an interview about any issue or topic. With that, I preferred to make an interview
about the experiences of a working law student.May ask if you would be willing to participate
in this interview?

Interviewee: Sure.

Interviewer: Thank you.Sir, with your permission, I will audio record and take notes during the interview at
any time during this session, I can turn off the recorder at your request.

Interviewee:Kaipuhan pa talaga an.. (laughs) ok.

Interviewer: Yes po Sir, so as to document and make sure that I remember everything about this
interview.but nothing happens with the audio record unless you expressly approve it. If you
are ready, can we start now?

Interviewee: Ok, what’s your question?

Interviewer: Sir, I’d like to know what made you decide to take bachelors of law?

Interviewee: Hmm… the main reason is, I’m aiming for a higher paying job kasi baga alam mo naman ang
sahod ng teacher mababa. Second it’s been my dream to become a lawyer of course.

Interviewer: So as a teacher and at the same time being a law student, how do you manage your time for
studies?

Interviewee: Mahirap actually, we are required to devote 6-8 hours of reading, write lots of case digest and
memorize provisions of law. And…being a teacher naman requires us to prepare for our
lesson and other paper works. That’s why most professionals whom I know didn’t continue
their schooling because of the struggle of managing our time.
Interviewer: You’ve mentioned that some working law students quit their studies, right? In your case was
there any circumstances that you feel like quitting already?

Interviewee: Yes. A lot of times especially during final exams. Ahh….The stress I feel every examination
week is very high. The pressure getting a passing grade will deflate you not only mentally but
also physically. Bugbog-sarado kami…ganyan.. (laughs)

Interviewer: ah ok..how do you encounter, I mean counter or cope with mental and physical stress in your
studies?

Interviewee: Wala naman masyado….hmmmm..I just find ways to relax myself simple as watch movie, get
a massage or go out with friends. Kahit anuman na activity basta di connected pa sa pag
klase ko is already my stress-reliever.

Interviewer: Lastly, I am interested to know from you, what do you think are the necessary things to do to
finish law school?

Interviewee: hhmm..as a working-student, it is a must that we stay focused on your goal, be hard-working
and manage your time properly. Yun.

Interviewer: So that’s it. Thank you very much for sparing me your time for this interview and good luck to
your studies.

Interviewee: ok lang yun para lang yan… (laughs)
